Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba. Her family relocated to Miami after she reached two years old. Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez, born from Havana Cuba moved with her parents to Miami at the age of 2 years old. In Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo hosts of the prestigious Telemundo show "Caso Cerrado" which is the first Spanish language program nominated for an Daytime Entertainment Emmy(r) Award, and was ranked in 2015 as the most popular Spanish-language programming on the air at 4pm in key demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. After graduating the Florida International University's Political science program, she moved to Havana where she stayed for 20 years. After that, she received the PhD in law at the University of Miami and practiced law for 20 years within the City of Miami. She earned her PhD from The University of Miami, and then practiced for twenty decades in Miami. Polo first appeared on television in 2001, on Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. She also participated in courts shows which tapped into her expertise. Literature awards She released Los Hijos Muertos in 1958. The novel was awarded the Critic's Prize, and The Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute left Spain to move to the United States in 1960. Polo is a breast cancer survivor who frequently raises money for this charity and also speaks at various events. She's been an avid proponent of LGBT rights for the bulk of her life. She received her law degree in 1987 at the University of Miami School of Law.
